PRESS RELEASE APRIL 2, 2025

Regarding the results of the inspection of the new Passenger Terminal conducted by the Supervisory Body for Investment in Transportation Infrastructure for Public Use (OSITRAN), Lima Airport Partners (LAP) informs the public as follows:

1. According to the Supervision Report issued by OSITRAN on March 30, 2025, the new Passenger Terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport (AIJC) has reached 99.90% completion. Furthermore, the supervisor's conclusion in the document states: "It is verified that the Terminal has achieved 99.90% progress in the area intended for its operational launch, with 0.10% of non-critical aspects remaining on the Checklist. Additionally, it is confirmed that the equipment has been installed and is functioning according to tests conducted".

2. Comments regarding the remaining 0.10%, which include references to the Fire Detection and Alarm System (DACI), will be addressed by LAP in the coming days. It is worth noting that these systems are currently installed and tested, equipped with a centralized control and monitoring system, and include action plans to mitigate any risks or unforeseen events that could impact operational safety.

3. As part of the familiarization process, since last week, the new platform has been made available 24/7 for airlines, ramp operators, and other airport community operators to conduct autonomous exercises to familiarize themselves with its use. In this regard, LAP has implemented a commercial incentive policy for airlines, valid until April 30, 2025. Under this policy, aircraft conducting exercises on the new platform will receive a 100% discount on landing and take-off fees as well as jet bridge usage costs at the current terminal.

4. LAP reiterates its priority of ensuring operational safety and reaffirms its commitment to launching operations at the new Jorge Chávez Airport by collaborating closely with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) for the prompt update of the Aerodrome Certificate. Exolum Aviation Perú already holds the necessary permits to operate the new fuel plant. Additionally, progress is being made on remaining procedures with relevant authorities, such as the recent registration granted by SEDAPAL. LAP trusts that airlines and state entities will soon complete their pending processes.
Over these 24 years, LAP has rigorously fulfilled its commitments under the Concession Agreement, working diligently and transparently with authorities and the airport community.
